Help Ban Street Begging Elephants in Chiang Mai

Help Ban Street Begging Elephants in Chiang Mai

แก้ไขล่าสุด tree4elephants เมื่อ 4 - 3 - 2010 12:45

A city is the last place where you would expect to find an elephant.

Their existence is often heartbreaking. They spend theirs days begging for food or money, urged on by their mahouts, the elephant caretakers. The animals are often in a bad state of health. Stressed, undernourished and with wounded feet. Most people would agree that elephants do not belong in cities.

Elephants in Chiang Mai City are illegal according to Thai law. And yet, the last couple of months more and more baby elephants are walking around Chiang Mai city every night.
Sign this petition to demand for action to get elephants out of Chiang Mai City! Be part of a network of people that care about the plight of street begging elephants in Chiang Mai. Together we can make Chiang Mai City elephant free! At www.thepetitionsite.com/1/street-begging-elephants

We will deliver the signatures to the governor. You can follow the campaign at:
